This project was delivered in partnership by the Centre for Sustainable Energy (CSE) and Dhek
Bhal and funded by City Funds and Quartet Community Foundation. It aimed to
understand the barriers faced by older and multi-generational South Asian households when
accessing energy advice and support services, and to develop recommendations for
improved service design and delivery.

The project consisted of 16 interviews with members of older and multi-generational
households who were offered an energy advice follow-up session with a CSE advisor, three
interviews with community and advice staff, and a workshop with community organisations
to present the research findings and develop recommendations.
