Project management and PAS services for SHF and Warm Homes: Local Grant

Our retrofit services team offers project management and delivery for the government’s Warm Homes: Local Grant and Social Housing Fund (SHF).

How we support local authorities and social housing providers

Our retrofit services can support local authorities to deliver all aspects of the Warm Homes: Local Grant – government funding for local authorities to deliver energy performance and low carbon heating upgrades to low-income homes in England. Our support includes project management, PAS services including assessments and coordination, household targeting and engagement, and installer liaison.

We also support registered social housing providers to apply to the Social Housing Fund. The SHF is a government fund specifically aimed to help retrofit social housing stock. We understand the process and requirements of these funding schemes and can help you apply successfully.

Drawing on our extensive experience of supporting other local authorities to win Home Upgrade Grant (HUG) – government support for energy efficiency upgrades and low carbon heating via local authority funding – we can work with you to profile your housing stock and develop a successful scheme.

We also have extensive experience of the SHF process through our work for the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, assessing funding bids and support for housing providers. We can work with you to review your housing portfolio and develop a proposal for future funding.

Our proven track record of collaborating with local authorities and registered housing providers, offering retrofit advice, conducting surveys, and providing coordination services is well established. And we have been recognised for our impact in this field.

Our expertise in energy efficiency and sustainable solutions makes us a valuable partner for local authorities and registered social housing providers seeking to decarbonise their estate.

Energy efficiency upgrades to social and low-income homes

We guide local authorities and registered social housing providers through the application process, offering comprehensive support at every stage. We provide retrofit advice tailored to the specific needs of each housing provider, ensuring proposals align with the objectives and requirements of the Warm Homes: Local Grant or SHF programmes.

Finding appropriate and qualifying houses is often a barrier to the success of these projects. CSE’s bespoke internal software allows us to identify qualifying houses using desktop studies, allowing for cost effective and impactful marketing.

Our experience in conducting surveys and assessments can assist in identifying energy efficiency improvement opportunities and formulating effective retrofit plans.

Our coordination services will streamline the implementation of your retrofit project, facilitating communication and collaboration between local authorities, registered social housing providers, contractors, and other stakeholders.

Together we can help you make a project, contributing to the decarbonisation efforts across your local authority or your housing portfolio.
